Family Alliance for Respect & Equity (F.A.R.E)
About F.A.R.E
Family Alliance for Respect & Equity, formerly known as The Melting Pot Parent Group, was started as a direct response to the need for underrepresented students to feel a sense of belonging at Media Elementary School. It was founded by five parents dedicated to a mission of diversity, equity and inclusion. Since its inception in 2016, F.A.R.E. has grown immensely, and there is now representation in every Rose Tree Media School District building. We meet every other month to provide updates about our group’s work and to also hold conversations around important topics that impact our children on a daily basis. We look forward to having you join our group!
Mission Statement
Media Elementary School is committed to improving our society today, and for future generations, through outstanding education, awareness, and appreciation of all people. We work to carry out this mission by exhibiting respect for diversity among our student body, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual identity, disability, socioeconomic class, and religion. The mission of F.A.R.E. is to promote and encourage diversity awareness, provide family support, build relationships, and create deeper unity and understanding within Media Elementary and the surrounding community.
